Sam the Super Sticky
GEORGE THORMAN / DARTMOUTH COLLEGE
This animated short depicts the epic mini-adventure of the world’s first sticky-Note hero, Sam. When Sam’s leisurely stroll is interrupted by the hungry Dino-sticky he must outwit his belligerent pursuer or else succumb to his carnivorous jaws. This film was created using an experimental mix of “hand-drawn” and “stop-motion” animation techniques. It was filmed with the support of Professor David Ehrlich at Dartmouth College in 2009.
ABOUT THE FILMMAKER: George Thorman was born in 1988 in Lincoln, Nebraska and now lives in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. He is a sophomore at Dartmouth College majoring in Geography and Film and is currently (spring 2009) studying Arabic and development economics in Fes, Morocco. Sam the Super Sticky is George’s first film project (hopefully with more to follow).
