Royksopp’s Dizzying Videos

Having dropped their album "Senior" this past September, Norwegian electronic duo Royksopp is readying itself for its North American March tour.  While their music is absolutely mesmerizing, riveting and complex, I find their videos equally as challenging in their experimentation and tantalizing balance of the ideal and the horrific.  Additionally, the videos boast such a breadth of media, always surprising and challenging the viewer.  Lose yourself in Royskopp's dream-world fantasies and nightmares; it makes that separation of mind and body float hover above my skin as I subconsciously sway to the beat in an almost meditative state.

As an FYI regarding the "Adventures in Barbieland" videos, here's the artist's statement:

"We had a vision, and in this vision we saw ourselves as a sleeping hobo and an old man respectively. The following is a vivid depiction of some of the events that occurred during an intended stay in Barbieland. And remember, It's a true story...."
